Movie reviews
So here's the thing. I used to do movie reviews a lot: it was one of my first regular writing gigs, I kept it up for years, and I loved it. I had a good following, and lots of people said that they loved reading my reviews even if they had no interest in seeing the movie I was reviewing.
But I haven't done movie reviews professionally for a bit now. I would love to get back into it, though. If you're a newspaper or magazine looking for a film critic, please contact me.
Pretty darned soon, I'm going to start posting new movie reviews here. In the meantime, here are some of my old favorites. They include serious reviews and silly ones, long reviews and short ones, sniping bitch-fests and gushing raves. Some of my reviews are socio-cultural rants about the sexual politics of cinema disguised as movie reviews, while some of them are just straight-ahead movie reviews. I've sorted them here for your dining convenience.
